A 42-year-old man was seriously injured early Tuesday morning after being struck by a train in the MetroSur tunnel, between Fuenlabrada Central and Parque Europa stations, in an incident that mobilized emergency services.

The alert was received by Emergencias 112 at approximately 1:30 AM. Immediately, personnel from SUMMA 112, the Local Police, the National Police, and the Firefighters of the Community of Madrid were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue teams had to perform a complex operation to extricate the pedestrian, who had become trapped under the train. Their intervention was critical to reach the injured individual and provide initial medical assistance.
Medical professionals attending to him at the site diagnosed a severe traumatic brain injury, in addition to multiple other bodily injuries. Given the critical nature of his condition, the man was urgently transferred to Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid, where he was admitted in serious condition for specialized care.
