Los Molinos Celebrates its Neighborhood Festivals from September 11 to 13

The Getafe neighborhood will host three days of family activities, music, gastronomy, and community participation.

The Los Molinos neighborhood in Getafe is celebrating its local festivals from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13, featuring a packed schedule of cultural, sports, and recreational activities.

The Los Molinos neighborhood in Getafe is preparing for its local festivals, scheduled from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13. The event, organized by the Festival Commission and local residents with the support of the Getafe City Council, will offer three days of cultural, sports, and recreational activities for all audiences.
The opening day, Friday the 11th, will kick off at 5:30 PM with an Inaugural Parade, followed by workshops, board games, the Craft Fair, and Children's Theater. Starting at 8:00 PM, there will be 'Gymnastics for All' and a Zumba Masterclass. The opening speech, delivered by the Club Running Los Molinos, is scheduled for 10:00 PM, followed by musical performances by Sergio Vivar and Contracorriente.
On Saturday the 12th, the program will run continuously from the morning, featuring the Craft Fair, a Puppet Workshop themed around Don Quixote, a Photography Workshop with an English Conversation, an Emergency Vehicle Exhibition, a Table Tennis Tournament, Face Painting, and tattoo and badge workshops. At 1:00 PM, there will be a Jazz Concert, and at 2:00 PM, a new edition of the Omelet Contest will begin. The afternoon will include a DJ 'Tardeo', the Holi Run, the Water Party, Workshops, and the Neighborhood Picnic. The evening will feature live rock music for children by Niños Perdidos and a performance by Flash Back.
Sunday the 13th will conclude the festivities with a family-oriented day. It begins at 10:00 AM with a Bike Route, games, tournaments, and a gymkhana. At 1:00 PM, the Foam Party will take place, followed by a Batucada and a communal Paella and Sangria at 2:30 PM. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Solidarity March for Carlota has been called, along with sports and wellness workshops. The event will conclude with a Dance Show and Latin Dance Masterclass at 7:30 PM, followed by an awards ceremony.
As with other neighborhood festivals, there will be stands for drinks and snacks, portable restrooms, and a 'Punto Violeta' (Safe Space) for the prevention of sexual aggression, active on the nights of Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th of September, from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
