The Leganés City Council has allocated €301,809.50 for the comprehensive renovation of key sports facilities, including the athletics track and swimming pool treatment rooms.

The investment will enable the recovery of the athletics track at the El Carrascal Sports Complex, which had deficiencies since its reconstruction in 2020, and the modernization of the water treatment rooms at the El Carrascal and Olimpia sports centers. The works are expected to take approximately one month.
The intervention on the athletics track, with an investment of €112,676.71, will be carried out using the retopping technique, which uses the existing pavement as a base. The surface will be meticulously sanded, and the base layer will be replaced where necessary to restore the original technical specifications, improving safety and jump areas.
The modernization of the water treatment rooms aims to increase operational efficiency, optimize maintenance, and improve water quality. At the El Carrascal sports center, filters, pipes, and valves will be completely replaced, and hydraulic systems will be reorganized.
At the Olimpia sports center, a more extensive upgrade includes a new, higher-capacity filtration system with new filters, pumps, pre-filters, and pipelines, as well as sealing joints with high-performance materials. The specific investment for this center amounts to €189,132.79.
