Starting this Friday, residents of Zarzaquemada, Leganés Norte, Vereda de los Estudiantes, and Los Frailes can enjoy a diverse range of entertainment organized by local associations and groups. The Leganés City Council is actively participating in these festivities, contributing events such as orchestras, food distributions, and refreshing water activities.
The program kicks off this Friday in Vereda de los Estudiantes with a performance by the Orquesta Dier at 9:00 PM, offering a varied musical show, followed by an 80s Party starting at 12:30 AM.
Saturday will feature the traditional human statues exhibition at Parque de Las Moreras (from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM), with an awards ceremony afterward. Additionally, the Los Frailes neighborhood will host a water castle in the afternoon, while Vereda de los Estudiantes will have an afternoon event with a foam party and another performance by Orquesta Dier.
On Sunday, celebrations continue with foam parties in Leganés Norte and paella servings in Vereda de los Estudiantes and Zarzaquemada. The Charanga Pentagrama will liven up the atmosphere in Vereda de los Estudiantes.
Festivities on Tuesday, June 23, include the highly anticipated great dragon burning in Zarzaquemada (from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM), accompanied by a set by DJ Tello and the traditional San Juan bonfire with fireworks at the Renfe de Zarzaquemada parking lot. In La Fortuna, there will also be a bonfire and fireworks.
The schedule is rounded out with events organized by the Municipal District Board of La Fortuna, such as the Peñas Day on Sunday the 21st, and musical performances including the Coro Acordes on Wednesday the 24th, and concerts by ‘Duende Callejero’ and ‘Entre Duendes’ on Friday the 26th at the Recinto Ferial de La Fortuna. The Orquesta La Misión will conclude the celebrations on Saturday the 27th with a grand show.
