The Leganés City Council has approved an agreement with the Official College of Architects of Madrid to implement a quality endorsement aimed at reducing bureaucracy and streamlining the processing of new urban projects in the locality.

This agreement, announced by the municipal official, primarily aims to establish institutional collaboration that enhances the efficiency of the procedure and provides legal certainty to projects accompanying applications for municipal urban building licenses. This measure is expected to accelerate license approvals by two to three months, benefiting those wishing to establish themselves in the city.

"With this quality endorsement from the College of Architects, when interested parties draft their urban project, we, as the City Council, give our approval, and this speeds up the granting of a license by two to three months, which will be very beneficial for those who want to settle in the city."

The Official College of Architects of Madrid will handle the ordinary process of voluntary endorsement for Basic Projects or Basic and Execution Projects. Additionally, it will subject to control and supervision, on a voluntary basis and upon request from interested parties, the formal correctness and integrity of professional work documentation, always in accordance with the applicable regulations required by the Leganés City Council.
This supervision guarantees the identity and professional qualification of the work's author, as well as the formal correctness and integrity of the Basic Project or Basic and Execution Project documentation in compliance with technical regulations. Furthermore, it ensures the necessary formal correctness and integrity for the supervision to be carried out by municipal technical services, facilitating information on building acts.
The announcement of this agreement was made at the Pryconsa Food Gallery, one of the city's most emblematic markets, with over 50 years of history and 69 open stalls, known for the quality of its products and close customer service.
