A massive edition of the Patronal Festivals in Getafe has concluded, characterized by an extensive cultural program, the positive reception of this year's new additions, and a widespread festive atmosphere.
The Councilor for Culture, Luis Domínguez, expressed satisfaction with the public's response, noting that both established events and new additions, such as the Day of the Peñas and the Ribbon Dance, were enjoyed.
Among the events that drew the largest crowds were the Descent of the Virgin, the Pyromusical Show, and the traditional Float Parade. In the latter, the first prize was awarded to Las Merengueras, followed by Ankara in second place and Atlas in third.
The pre-festival program also saw high attendance, with the performance by the Orquesta Panorama attracting over 16,000 people, making it one of the most popular events.
The Fairgrounds served as a central hub, reaching its peak attendance in the early hours of Saturday the 23rd following the opening speech, the concert by Bustamante, and Getafe C.F.'s qualification for the Conference League, with up to 11,400 people gathered. Over 200,000 attendees passed through this area during the two weeks of activities, benefiting from an expansion that enhanced comfort and safety.
Music filled other stages across the city, including the Young Venue at the Juan de la Cierva Sports Center, Lorenzo Azofra Park, and the Plaza de la Constitución, all of which registered high attendance throughout the festival.
