The top official of ESMASA, Alcorcón's public company for cleaning and waste management, has issued a statement in response to the recent resignation of a vice president. The latter had criticized the current direction of the entity, prompting a strong rebuttal from the presidency.
“"He has only attended one meeting of the steering committee (said committee is convened every 15 days), has not presented a single proposal, nor has he taken the slightest initiative since he took office almost a year ago, as a result of the agreement of the parties that make up the government team."
In her statement, the president highlighted the importance of ESMASA for Alcorcón and defended the restructuring of the administrative team, arguing that it seeks to optimize both resources and service quality. This response comes in the context of the dismissal of the previous public company manager.
The president emphasized that, during her term, difficult decisions have been made to safeguard ESMASA's public future and service to citizens. She stated that the company is regaining the direction that made it a national benchmark in municipal company management. She concluded her statement by reiterating her commitment to continue working with the same conviction since her election on August 5, 2025, with the support of various political parties.
