A man was subdued and shot in the leg by the National Police in Parla this Thursday after threatening pedestrians and officers with two large knives.

The incident occurred early in the morning, around 7:50 AM, near a gas station located on Londres street. Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report that an individual was carrying large knives and threatening to kill another person.
Upon arrival, the suspect, a Spanish citizen born in 1969, aggressively approached the police officers. After firing three warning shots into the air, one officer shot the individual in the right knee due to his persistent threatening behavior.
The National Police officers themselves applied a tourniquet to the detainee, who was subsequently arrested and taken to the hospital. His condition is reported as stable. According to sources, the man had reportedly been causing disturbances in the public thoroughfare throughout the night.
