The sports agenda will unfold in various parts of the city, with a special focus on the Juan de la Cierva Municipal Sports Complex, which will host a significant portion of the planned events. Getafe thus reaffirms sports as a fundamental pillar of its patron saint celebrations, offering popular proposals, competitions, and exhibitions open to all citizens.
Among the most anticipated events is the 44th Bike and Wheel Festival, a family activity that invites participants to explore the city on two wheels. This popular event will take place on Sunday, May 10, at 11:00 AM, starting from the parking lot of Getafe 3 Shopping Center in Sector III and finishing at the Juan de la Cierva Municipal Sports Complex.
The Juan de la Cierva Municipal Sports Complex Pavilion will host the Zonal Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship on Sunday, May 17, at 9:30 AM, showcasing the talent of local athletes. Additionally, the program includes a deeply rooted traditional discipline: the Getafe 2026 Festivities 'Calva' Championship, which will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 AM on the courts of the same sports complex.
The last weekend of May will be dedicated to exhibitions by sports schools. On Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, starting at 9:00 AM, the Juan de la Cierva Municipal Sports Complex Pavilion will be the stage for demonstrations of rhythmic, acrobatic, aesthetic gymnastics, and roller skating.
To conclude the sports program, the Urban Fit Day Buenavista will take place on Sunday, May 31, at 11:00 AM. This urban sports proposal will be held on the free-use multi-sport courts in the Buenavista neighborhood, offering an active and outdoor option for residents.
