Getafe Norte Celebrates Neighborhood Festival with Family-Friendly Activities

The neighborhood hosts a weekend of events at La Rosaleda, featuring workshops, a water battle, Holi Fest, and concerts.

The Getafe Norte neighborhood is celebrating its 2026 Neighborhood Festival this weekend, offering a family-friendly program that combines culture, tradition, sports, and leisure at La Rosaleda in the Parque de Avenida de los Arces and other local spots.

From Friday to Sunday, the Fiesta Commission, with the support of the Getafe City Council, has organized a series of events for various audiences. Friday's opening day will feature children's and family activities, the opening of the Getart artisan market, a demonstration by the Local Police Canine Unit, and a zumba masterclass.
At 10:00 PM, the traditional opening speech will be delivered, this year by Roberto Díaz, Head of Nursing at the Getafe Norte Health Center. The night will conclude with the Youth Concert by Laeme and Veneno026.
Saturday's activities begin at 10:00 AM with meditation, relaxation, stretching, and gentle defense sessions, followed by a hot chocolate and a 'Tasty Leftovers' Art Workshop. Later, at 10:30 AM, participants can join a wool bracelet workshop and a 3x3 inflatable foosball game. At noon, the 'Get Wet With Us' water battle will take place, and at 1:00 PM, the 'Tasty Leftovers' Tasting will commence, accompanied by a performance by Metrofolk.
Saturday afternoon will include the Getart market, storytelling, the popular Holi Fest, the XVIII Paella Contest, a photo booth, and a raffle. After the awards ceremony for the best paellas, the day will end with a mobile disco from 10:10 PM to 2:00 AM.
Sunday the 28th's program kicks off at 10:00 AM with the first race of the Getafe Norte Festival. At 11:00 AM, there will be sports fitness, a petanque exhibition, and Getafe Potencia, showcasing inventions and environmental games. At 12:00 PM, families can participate in strength and agility circuits, and an fencing exhibition will be held. The Foam Party starts at 1:00 PM, and the festival will close at 7:00 PM with the children's show Bailajuegos.
