After decades of demands to resolve the mud and access issues affecting school families, especially during rainy weather, construction now seems imminent. Families hope the Regional Government will start the work as soon as possible to ensure completion before the new school year.
The Getafe City Council reminds that the land belongs to the Community of Madrid, through the public company Planifica Madrid (formerly Arpegio). Despite not owning the land, the council has driven joint working meetings to unblock the situation.
The City Council, within its responsibilities, paved the access road to the school and APANID from the A-42 months ago, investing over 100,000 euros and significantly improving local accessibility.
In recent weeks, the City Council has issued multiple requests to ensure the final project complies strictly with urban planning and accessibility regulations, correcting defects presented by the Community of Madrid and safeguarding environmental protection and existing trees on the plot.
