The 'Ciudad Card' in Getafe is evolving to facilitate access to municipal services, promotions, commercial campaigns, city information, and benefits for both residents and visitors. This new phase enhances its digital nature and incorporates new functionalities through a mobile app.
The card, no longer exclusively for registered residents, now includes access for visitors, students, workers, and regular consumers. It serves as an entry point to promotions, vouchers, cultural and commercial experiences, leisure activities, as well as municipal information and events.
Among the new benefits, the 'Ciudad Card' will facilitate access to programs such as social vouchers for spending in affiliated shops, school support aid, discounts on the Waste Fee linked to recycling behavior, and a program for 18-year-old registered residents who will receive €50 to spend in local businesses.
As part of this expansion, the 'Shop in Your Neighborhood' campaign has been launched to encourage proximity consumption and support local businesses. For a limited time, each purchase made at establishments affiliated with the Getafe 'Ciudad Card' will count as an entry into a raffle for 5 prizes of €100.
The campaign's mechanism involves downloading the Getafe 'Ciudad Card', making a purchase at a participating establishment, and showing the QR code. Each purchase counts as one entry, increasing the chances of winning.
The City Council aims to reinforce the role of local commerce as an economic, social, and community driver, supporting businesses that generate employment and keep neighborhoods active.
The new 'Ciudad Card' is part of the Activa Getafe project, promoted within the city's digital transformation framework, aiming to better connect citizens, visitors, businesses, and municipal services.
The service offerings of the 'Ciudad Card' will be progressively expanded with new functionalities related to the digitalization of Local Administration and city promotion.
