The Fuenlabrada Local Police has welcomed 31 new trainee officers, increasing the total force to 220 officers and bolstering city security.

A total of 31 new trainee officers have recently joined the Fuenlabrada Local Police. These new recruits follow the nine officers who joined in February, bringing the municipal force's total strength to 220 officers.
During their six-month training period, the officers will rotate through various units to gain firsthand knowledge of their operations. The Councillor for Security, Raquel López, highlighted the City Council's "constant effort" to expand the Local Police force and enhance the technical and material resources they utilize.
López also emphasized the importance of "public policies" aimed at strengthening social cohesion and coexistence within the city, as part of the municipal strategy to maintain safety and citizen well-being.
According to crime statistics published by the Ministry of the Interior for the first quarter of the year, Fuenlabrada ranks as the Spanish city with over 100,000 inhabitants that has the lowest crime rate. This positive trend has been consistent in recent years, with Fuenlabrada leading municipalities in terms of fewest crimes per inhabitant, both within the Community of Madrid and nationally.
