The Fuenlabrada City Council has launched a nine-month project with a budget of €920,000 to renovate 14 children's areas, incorporating shade, new equipment, and adapted spaces for teenagers.

The initiative, driven by the Department of Sustainability, Environment, and Public Space, aims to enhance the accessibility and inclusivity of these areas, tailoring them to the specific needs of each neighborhood.
Improvements include the installation of shade in six areas that currently lack it, as well as the comprehensive renewal of rubber flooring and modernization of play equipment.
The project plans to transform some children's areas into health zones or spaces specifically designated for teenagers, responding to citizen demands.

"This initiative responds to the specific demands of each area of Fuenlabrada."

A notable example is the transformation of the area on Madroño street in El Vivero, which will host Fuenlabrada's first "ninja circuit," aimed at pre-teens and teenagers.
Work is currently underway in two areas of Parque Miraflores, where play equipment and rubber flooring will be renewed. Subsequently, another zone in this park will be converted into a health area.
