The People's Party will present a motion at the plenary session, warning about the massive use of the internal streets of Parque Miraflores as a 'shortcut' by hundreds of drivers. These vehicles aim to bypass the congestion on the M-506 road, particularly when this route, which connects to Móstoles, becomes blocked.
This practice, according to the party, is causing a significant degradation in the quality of life for the area's residents, in addition to generating serious road safety issues, increased noise, and pollution in this residential area.
In light of this situation, the PP will propose the processing of a specific ordinance or the formal declaration of the urbanisation as a 'Residential Zone with Restricted Access'. The 'populars' have also requested a comprehensive traffic study for this area, which is home to approximately 2,200 residents of Fuenlabrada.
The Parque Miraflores Neighborhood Association initiated a petition drive in April to demand urgent measures due to the saturation of the M-506 on the access roads to Móstoles. This initiative was supported by the Vecinos por el PAU-4 de Móstoles Neighborhood Association. The current problem causes constant traffic jams and periods of neighborhood blockage, hindering mobility and leading to isolation.
