These plots, totaling 18,000 square meters of productive land, are already urbanized and equipped with all necessary services for their operation. The decision was made during the latest Local Government Board meeting.
“"This adjudication allows us to boost economic activity by facilitating the arrival of new investments in Fuenlabrada, a city that is already a pole of attraction in the region."
The city of Fuenlabrada has established itself as a point of interest for large corporations. In recent years, it has attracted companies such as Madrid One, the largest data center in Spain; the logistics company VGP with facilities in El Bañuelo and Calfersa; the industrial cold logistics center Logifrio; the Railway Logistics Terminal; the aluminum treatment plant La Estrella; and the Distrito F shopping center (formerly Nexum).
These four plots are in addition to four others sold just over a year ago for four million euros. In total, the eight publicly owned industrial plots in the El Bañuelo business park are part of a commercialization process for a dozen plots, totaling nearly 52,000 square meters of productive land for industrial and tertiary use, fully prepared to host new businesses.
In the adjudication process, the City Council evaluates the amount of the proposed private investment, job creation, and the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly activities. The El Bañuelo business park covers a total area of 800,000 square meters, of which 327,000 are buildable (265,000 for industrial use and 62,000 for tertiary use).
