The blaze began this Saturday around 4:50 PM in a grassland area adjacent to the plant. Strong winds caused the flames to spread rapidly to the industrial complex.
The combustion of various aluminum materials stored outside the facility generated a significant column of smoke visible from afar, as reported by Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid.
The grassland fire is now under control, and firefighters from the Community of Madrid are currently focused on preventing the flames from spreading to the roofed section of the plant.
Although there were no injuries or intoxications, the preventive health device from Summa 112 deployed in the area remained on alert.
