The survey, opened to gather information on housing demand and future developments, aims to shape the city. As explained by the mayor, Candelaria Testa, the process begins with registering demanders for various projects promoted by the City Council, including Retamar, designated housing accommodations, and homes in the Ensanche Sur.
The municipal platform 'How do you want to live in Alcorcón' is designed to understand the volume and type of housing demanded, as well as citizens' preferences regarding purchase or rent, number of rooms, need for a garage or storage, and desired residential areas.
The Councilor for Urban Agenda, Planning, Development, and City Maintenance, Miguel A. González, detailed that 'Habita Alcorcón' will also serve to inform about municipal policies on public housing, the Urban Agenda, the review of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU), and the planned urban developments in Retamar and Ensanche Sur.
“"The objective of this consultation is for citizens to determine what type of neighborhood and housing they need."
Once the participatory process concludes, the City Council will analyze the data to adjust residential promotions to the needs identified among the residents. The information gathered is considered key to finalizing future residential projects in Alcorcón.
