The Madrid team, preparing for its debut in the new Superliga 2 Oro competition, has confirmed the arrival of Joaquín Carambula. The Uruguayan player, standing 1.96 meters tall and aged 25, thus becomes the entity's first signing for the upcoming season.
Carambula joins from Balafia Lleida, a team where he has played for the last two seasons in Superliga 2. His experience in the second tier of Spanish volleyball was key to his signing, bringing knowledge and quality to the setter position.
This signing is in addition to the continuity of Guillermo Loeches, another setter who will complete his third season with the Pinto team. Loeches, a 29-year-old from Madrid standing 1.81 meters tall, was a priority for the coaching staff led by Jordi Martínez and Eduardo Hernangil.
The club has indicated that other negotiations are well advanced, both for current player renewals and new signings, and more squad movements are expected to be announced in the coming dates.
