The objective of this initiative is to position Alcorcón as a leading center for urban innovation, attracting investment, talent, and employment. It seeks to facilitate the development of solutions that enhance the daily lives of citizens.
The proposal includes conducting pilot tests in various areas, such as energy saving, new applications for citizen-administration interaction, improvements in traffic and parking management, accessibility solutions for people with disabilities, and tools to optimize municipal services.
All tests will be carried out under the supervision of the City Council, ensuring safety and without infringing on residents' rights. Passing the pilot phase will not grant automatic licenses, which must be processed according to current regulations.
The Popular Party emphasizes that this measure could strengthen Alcorcón's capacity to access grants and funding programs related to innovation and urban transformation.
The motion also suggests that the drafting of the ordinance regulating these 'sandboxes' should undergo a participatory process, involving companies, associations, universities, and citizens to ensure transparency in the authorized projects.
“"Many cities are already using these types of tools to test new technologies related to mobility, sustainability, accessibility, or the digitalization of public services. We want Alcorcón not to be left behind."
The 'populars' reiterate their commitment to making Alcorcón a city that attracts opportunities, generates quality employment, and leverages innovation to improve public services and the quality of life for its residents.
