The internal electoral race has begun for Más Madrid in Alcorcón, where two lists will contend for the party's leadership ahead of the municipal elections scheduled for 2027. The deadline for submitting allegations and rectifying issues regarding the provisional candidacies will remain open until June 23rd at 2:00 PM.
The candidacy named ‘Alcorcón en marcha’ is headed by Manuel San Pastor García, who identifies as a housing and human rights lawyer. His proposal is described as «coral, assembly-based, municipalist, and aligned with social movements».
Serving as the second candidate on this list is Alessandra Romero Guijarro, the current councilor for Public Health, Consumption, and Animal Welfare. The candidacy is rounded out by Ignacio Ruiz Ardisoni, Paloma Ropero Gómez, Daniel García Iglesias, María Carmen Carretero Santamaría, Iván del Hoyo Bascuñana, Carla Nieto Carballo, Pablo López Jiménez, Olga Caterina Lazzarini, Pablo Montenegro Del Pozo, Alba María Sobrino Maeso, and Pablo Palomares Julián.
On the other hand, the ‘Más Alcorcón’ list is led by Trinidad Castillo, the current spokesperson for Más Madrid in the city. Her objective is to continue the «progressive, green, and feminist» project initiated in 2019 and developed over the past four years from within the Municipal Government.
The ‘Más Alcorcón’ list includes in its top ten positions Diego Segovia Domínguez, Sara Pérez Ramos, Luis Francisco Ruiz Domínguez, Elena Álvarez Martín, Jose Antonio Gallego Sanz, África Aragón García, Francisco Guardado Blázquez, Diana Nicoleta Popescu, and Antonio Jiménez Cruz. Completing the slate are Carolina Trapero Antolín, Álvaro Pinto Orbis, and María Manuela Vaz Rodríguez.
