The political party Más Madrid has opened the period for its internal primaries in Alcorcón, where two distinct proposals will vie for the party's leadership. The provisional lists have already been submitted, marking the start of the race towards the 2027 municipal elections.
On one hand, the candidacy ‘Más Alcorcón‘ is led by Trinidad Castillo, the current spokesperson for Más Madrid in the City Council. This proposal seeks continuity with the political line the party has followed since joining the Municipal Government in 2019, defining itself as a “progressive, green, and feminist” project.
Castillo's list includes names such as Diego Segovia Domínguez, Sara Pérez Ramos, Luis Francisco Ruiz Domínguez, Elena Álvarez Martín, José Antonio Gallego Sanz, África Aragón García, Francisco Guardado Blázquez, Diana Nicoleta Popescu, and Antonio Jiménez Cruz, among others.
The internal alternative is represented by the candidacy ‘Alcorcón en marcha‘, headed by Manuel San Pastor García. San Pastor, a lawyer specializing in housing and human rights, proposes a party model that is “coral, assembly-based, municipalist, and aligned with social movements”.
The second position on this list is held by Alessandra Romero Guijarro, currently the councilor for Public Health, Consumption, and Animal Welfare. The candidacy is completed by Ignacio Ruiz Ardisoni, Paloma Ropero Gómez, Daniel García Iglesias, María Carmen Carretero Santamaría, Iván del Hoyo Bascuñana, Carla Nieto Carballo, Pablo López Jiménez, and Olga Caterina Lazzarini.
The primary process will remain open until next June 23rd at 2:00 PM, the deadline for submitting allegations and rectifying any irregularities in the registered lists. Following this phase, the definitive calendar will be established, culminating in the election of Más Madrid's leadership in Alcorcón for the next municipal term.
