The service on Madrid's Metro Line 6 will be interrupted between Laguna and Sainz de Baranda stations on the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd, affecting 10 stops due to renovation and automation works.

Residents of Alcorcón and Móstoles will be affected by a new closure on Metro Line 6 this weekend, August 22nd and 23rd. The service interruption will occur between the Laguna and Sainz de Baranda stations, resulting in the closure of a total of 12 stops.
This disruption adds to existing closures due to works at the Moncloa station, which are scheduled to continue until early September. The stations that will be inoperable this weekend include Carpetana, Oporto, Opañel, Plaza Elíptica, Usera, Legazpi, Arganzuela-Planetario, Méndez Álvaro, Pacífico, and Conde Casal.
Metro de Madrid has stated that the reason for these works is the line's renovation and automation. To alleviate inconvenience, a free replacement bus service, named S6, has been established to cover the route on the surface between Laguna and Sainz de Baranda.
The S6 bus will operate with a frequency of 8 to 10 minutes between 06:00 and 21:00 on Saturday and Sunday. During the night, the frequency will be 10 to 13 minutes on Saturday (21:00-02:00) and 10 to 12 minutes on Sunday (21:00-23:00).
