The Provincial Court of Madrid began trial this Wednesday against two defendants for the murder of a 42-year-old man, who died in November 2021 after being shot in the head while inside a vehicle parked at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium in Getafe.

The judicial process started with the selection of the popular jury and the presentation of preliminary arguments by the involved parties. The events being judged occurred on November 23, 2021, when a local resident found the victim unconscious inside a car parked near the Getafe CF football stadium.
After being alerted, the injured man was urgently transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he died two days later due to the severe injuries caused by the bullet impact. The investigation was carried out by the Homicide Group of the National Police, which worked for months to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Initial investigations suggested that the shot was fired from inside the vehicle itself, leading investigators to consider various hypotheses about the motive, including a possible settling of scores. During the upcoming sessions at the Provincial Court of Madrid, the parties' arguments will be presented, and relevant evidence will be produced to determine criminal responsibilities.
