The expansion of BYD Astara's facilities in Alcorcón, a landmark in the Automobile City, drives electric mobility in the southern Community of Madrid with its largest regional center.

The renovation of BYD Astara's facilities in Alcorcón marks a significant advancement for electric mobility in the southern part of the Community of Madrid. The dealership, located in the Ciudad del Automóvil, has increased its capacity, becoming the brand's largest center in the region and improving access to electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles for residents of both municipalities.
Spanning over 2600 square meters, with 900 dedicated to exhibition space, the revamped facility showcases BYD's full range, including recent models like the ATTO 2 DM-i and the ATTO 3 EVO, both designed for efficiency and sustainability. The premises also house a comprehensive workshop offering mechanical, bodywork, and painting services, providing a one-stop solution for users in the area.
Madrid is considered a strategic market for the growth of electric mobility in Spain. During the inauguration, the general director of BYD Iberia, Alberto de Aza, emphasized that the new center sets a benchmark for technology and service. Astara, for its part, reiterated its commitment to innovation and to developing a dealership network ready to meet the rising demand for sustainable vehicles.
This expansion reinforces the role of southern Madrid as a key hub for the automotive sector. For municipalities like Alcorcón, where interest in less polluting transportation alternatives is growing, this new infrastructure is crucial for accelerating the transition to more efficient models, reflecting the ongoing transformation of the automotive market across the entire region.
