The Aranjuez City Council has awarded the contract for the supply and installation of a new intelligent traffic signaling point on Paseo del Deleite with C/ Taray to Nitlux S.A.U., with an investment of €83,032.39.

The company Nitlux S.A.U. will be in charge of equipping the intersection of Paseo del Deleite with Calle Taray, next to the entrance of the ERCROS factory, in Aranjuez, with a new intelligent traffic signaling system. The contract, amounting to €83,032.39, has an execution period of 4 months.
The project includes the supply and installation of poles, traffic light posts for vehicles and pedestrians, as well as audible signals for the visually impaired. It will feature a pedestrian push-button and intelligent control. Two speed detection cameras (CVT) will be installed to activate the red phase for vehicles, a priority system for urban public transport, and a push-button to give priority to heavy vehicles leaving the ERCROS factory.
The system will operate such that the intersection remains in amber phase for vehicles and red for pedestrians, with the red phase for vehicles activating upon pedestrian demand, detected speed exceeding 30 km/h by the cameras, priority for urban public transport, or activation of the push-button for vehicles exiting the ERCROS factory. The Local Police will specify the work cycles for the programs.

"We are pleased that measures are beginning to be taken at points of high traffic intensity. We hope this action will improve safety and driving around the Ercros factory."
