Alcorcón will officially welcome summer next weekend with a packed agenda of leisure and culture, highlighted by the ‘Calles Vivas’ arts festival and the traditional San Juan Night.

The San Juan Night celebration will take place at the Paco de Lucía Auditorium, located in the Recinto Ferial, starting at 9:00 PM on Saturday the 20th. The event will feature a mobile disco with DJ July, the depositing of dreams and wishes, a fire ritual, and the lighting of the traditional bonfire at midnight.
Concurrently, the ‘Calles Vivas’ arts festival will run from June 18th to 21st in various neighborhoods across the city. This initiative revives street art with nearly thirty cultural offerings for all audiences, including concerts, interactive theater, parades, urban routes, and summer cinema.
Under the slogan ‘Todo esto era campo’ (All this used to be fields), the festival aims to connect with the collective memory of Alcorcón, exploring the city's growth through migration and the construction of new neighborhoods. The inauguration will be on June 18th with a tour of Calle Mayor and a collective proclamation in the Plaza de España.
Among the most notable activities are the concerts by El Nido and Sínkope on Friday at Plaza Jota Mayúscula. The festival will conclude on Sunday in El Pinar Park with a neighborhood gathering featuring musical performances, family activities, and a popular paella.

"Alcorcón welcomes summer as it knows best: with joy, music, and community. During these days, we will be able to assert our Alcorcón pride with proposals for all ages and tastes. With a completely public and open cultural agenda for all our neighbors. See you in the streets of Alcorcón!"
