The commercial space Alcor Plaza, located in the Parque Oeste of Alcorcón, on Avenida del Oeste, 2, will undergo a profound transformation to become 5 ESPACIO. This new concept of a leisure complex aims to establish itself as a major entertainment destination in the south of the Community of Madrid.
The project, driven by Shang Ling Group, seeks to convert the approximately 40,000 square meters of the abandoned premises into a space exclusively dedicated to leisure, dining, and experiences. The opening is anticipated before Christmas 2027.
The state of abandonment of the former shopping center recently served as an improvised film set for the spin-off of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, due to its post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Now, the Chinese group Shang Ling intends to reopen its doors with a change in concept focused on leisure.
5 ESPACIO will leverage the existing structure, prioritizing leisure and entertainment experiences over traditional retail. The goal is to attract visitors not only from Alcorcón but also from other municipalities in the Madrid region.
One of the most notable features will be an entire floor dedicated to dining, designed to accommodate over 1,200 diners and become a central meeting point within the complex.
Another floor will house more than 3,500 square meters of recreational spaces, including a go-kart track. This area will also feature several private rooms for events such as weddings and parties, with a capacity of up to 1,000 people, as well as a music bar with shows.
The complex will include a basement parking facility with 900 spaces. If the announced schedule is met, 5 ESPACIO could be operational by the end of 2027, complementing the existing commercial offerings in Parque Oeste.
