The Alcorcón City Council has officially backed UNICEF's emergency campaign, aimed at providing humanitarian aid to children and families affected by the recent earthquakes.

The local administration has decided to support this solidarity initiative given the critical situation facing the affected population. According to data provided by the organization, nearly 3.9 million children live in the areas impacted by the seismic events, which have left a critical toll of casualties and thousands of people cut off.
The City Council, which holds the Child-Friendly City distinction, has highlighted its commitment to protecting children's rights. The campaign seeks to channel donations to cover basic needs such as drinking water, medical care, and urgent protection services for the most vulnerable groups.
To facilitate citizen participation, several donation channels have been enabled. Those interested can contribute via Bizum at 14041, by sending an SMS with the word UNICEF to 28028, or through a bank transfer to the BBVA account provided by the organization.
