The municipality of Alcorcón has decided to name its headquarters of the Association for Anti-alcoholic Struggle (APLAA) as 'Paco Albarrán-APLAA Rehabilitation Center', in an emotional tribute to Albarrán's dedication and the entity's work.

The mayor of Alcorcón, Candelaria Testa, presided over the ceremony where the new name was given to the headquarters of the Association for Anti-alcoholic Struggle of Alcorcón (APLAA). This recognition highlights the essence and help provided by Paco Albarrán to countless individuals over the association's more than forty years of history.
Testa emphasized that APLAA is an example of support and help, not only for users but also for their families. She noted that thousands of people have passed through the center, and Paco Albarrán is one of them, deserving of this tribute for his contribution.
The event was attended by members of the municipal government, including the Councilor for Public Health, Alessandra Romero, former mayor Natalia de Andrés, under whose mandate the local premises' lease was renewed, and former councilor José A. Gómez Chamorro. Also present were relatives of the honoree, APLAA users, and local residents.
The mayor described Paco Albarrán as a great public servant, highlighting his lifelong dedication and time spent helping others, and expressed Alcorcón's collective gratitude.
Candelaria Testa also stressed the importance of APLAA as a significant entity in Alcorcón, which for over 40 years has offered therapy and help to individuals and families, filling gaps where institutions cannot reach.
For her part, Alessandra Romero described the tribute as one born from the heart, recognizing a life dedicated to others and to standing by people during their most difficult moments, maintaining hope where others saw defeat.
Fernando Tejero, president of the association, explained that APLAA represents a human chain of mutual aid among equals, which has helped over 2,600 people in Alcorcón. He highlighted Paco Albarrán as a fundamental pillar in rehabilitation, whose generosity and availability have been crucial for many.
