The Alcorcón City Council has approved the 2026 call for the municipal 'Cheque Hogar' aid, an initiative that increases both the overall budget and the maximum amount per household, reaching 800 euros to support residents with their usual expenses.

This economic support line is designed to help residents of the municipality with essential housing expenses. Subsidizable concepts include water, gas, heating, and electricity supplies, as well as habitual home rent and community fees.

"In 6 years, we have almost multiplied the budget by 7, going from 171,000 euros in 2021 to 1,150,000 this year. Additionally, to help families, we are increasing the amount from 750 to 800 euros per beneficiary; and extending the application period."

The aid focuses on supporting families in covering their daily household expenses, reflecting the municipal commitment to social policies that are already a benchmark. The beneficiaries of this aid are residents of Alcorcón who are not currently receiving assistance from social services.
To access the 'Cheque Hogar', applicants must be registered in Alcorcón, comply with established limits regarding cadastral ownership of properties and per capita income of the cohabitation unit, and be up to date with payments to the Tax Agency, Social Security, and the Alcorcón City Council. It is essential that the applicant is the holder of the receipts or invoices presented, and that these correspond to the address where they are registered at the time of application.
The granted amount, with a maximum of 800 euros per household, will be calculated based on expenses accredited by invoices and receipts for the concepts included in the call. The application period will be 60 calendar days from the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM), which is expected to occur in the coming days.
