The city of Alcorcón commemorates International Hummus Day, a date that highlights the richness of Middle Eastern gastronomy. A local establishment is recognized for its varied offering of this dish, which includes everything from classic chickpea hummus to innovative versions such as beetroot or toasted hummus.

In the educational field, two 6th grade Primary students from a local school have been awarded first prize in the European Day Poster Contest. Their work, which reflected the values of unity and diversity of the European Union, was selected from nearly 300 participants from across the region. The awards ceremony took place at the Real Casa de Postas.
Finally, the musical talent of Alcorcón will reach the Teatro Calderón next June 14. Two local pianists will present their show Sueños de magia y asfalto (Dreams of Magic and Asphalt), offering a four-hand piano recital that promises to move the audience with its technique and passion.
