For three days, technicians, business representatives, and neighborhood delegates from both locations are participating in meetings, debates, presentations, and city tours to learn about Fuenlabrada's commerce.
Mayor Javier Ayala opened the event at the City Hall, explaining Fuenlabrada's characteristics and its commercial landscape. Subsequently, the councilor for the area, Javier Bokesa, along with municipal directors, will address the council's strategic lines and initiate a debate on open shopping centers in the Centro district, where the invited Portuguese partners will showcase similar experiences.
The Portuguese partners will visit the Parque Agrario to learn about Fuenlabrada's initiatives connecting farmers and merchants, as well as the CIFE, where they will discover the support provided for entrepreneurship, including training programs, advisory services, and awards.
The European Commission recently ranked Fuenlabrada among the top three European cities (with populations between 50,000 and 250,000 inhabitants) for the vitality of its small businesses and their impact on the city's development.
