The screenings, held every Friday at 8:00 PM, aim to provide an accessible cultural leisure option for residents. The free nature of the screenings is subject to current regulations for film exhibition, which has influenced the selection of titles for this initial season.
For the 2027/2028 season, alternatives are being considered to expand the offering with more recent titles, which might involve introducing a paid ticket with an estimated price below five euros.
This initiative is part of the Teatro Real Carlos III's new cultural season, resulting from an agreement between the Aranjuez City Council and the Community of Madrid. The program will kick off on November 6th with the film Chinas, followed by Dios mío, ¿qué nos has hecho? (November 13th), Sala de Profesores (November 20th), and Guardiana de Dragones (November 27th). In December, the schedule includes Sorda (December 4th), Días perfectos (December 11th), La Librería (December 18th), and La Navidad en sus manos (December 25th).
A monthly session will be dedicated to family cinema, held on the last Friday of each month, allowing children and their families to enjoy films together. Furthermore, an update to the theatre's cinematic equipment is planned for 2027 to progressively enhance the audience's audiovisual experience.
Free tickets for the screenings will be available on the theatre's website. With this program, the Teatro Real Carlos III expands its stable cultural offerings, complementing the theatre, music, and dance proposals for the 2026/2027 season.
