The Aranjuez City Council has approved the start of the contracting process for a Framework Agreement that will allow the asphalting of 30 kilometers of public roads until 2029, with an estimated investment of 5 million euros.

This contract, with an initial duration of two years extendable for another two, aims to expedite the contracting of various actions and promote more efficient management of paving works in the municipality.
The estimated value of the Framework Agreement for its maximum duration of four years amounts to 5 million euros, VAT included, with full municipal financing. During the initial two years, the maximum estimated amount will be 2.5 million euros.
This system will enable the City Council to respond more quickly to paving needs by pre-establishing the conditions for carrying out different actions, avoiding the need to initiate separate contracting procedures for each one. Furthermore, it seeks to optimize costs by reducing unit prices for materials and machinery.
The main objective of these actions will be to improve the safety and comfort conditions of public roads, as well as reduce noise levels. The contract includes asphalt and concrete base works, horizontal signage, reconstruction of curbs and sidewalks, ditch profiling, removal and installation of street furniture and vertical signage, in addition to necessary cleaning and finishing work.
The first action planned under this agreement involves an investment of 1,697,578.19 euros for the renewal of the wearing course on various consolidated urban roads. The work will cover an approximate area of 83,050 square meters and will include the demolition and milling of existing surfaces, paving, and renewal of horizontal signage.
Affected horizontal signage, including the cycle lane, will be renewed and reinforced. Additionally, 200,000 euros will be allocated to the renovation of pavements on streets in the Las Aves neighborhood, such as Urogallo, Cuesta de las Perdices, and Santiago Rusiñol.
