The festival, organized by the Aranjuez City Council and the Community of Madrid in collaboration with various entities, will span six weeks, emphasizing the Baroque repertoire and interpretive excellence.
The opening event will feature the presentation of the book El Expediente de Calatrava by Carlo Broschi Farinelli, with contributions from José María Domínguez (UCM) and journalist Juan Ángel Vela del Campo, who will discuss the historical significance of the renowned singer at the Spanish court.
This year's program pays tribute to major figures in early music, including national premieres such as the one dedicated to Charles Burney on the 300th anniversary of his birth, and a celebration of the bicentenary of Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga.
Renowned artists and ensembles participating include Richard Egarr with Hippocampus, Lina Tur Bonet, Fahmi Alqhai & Accademia del Piacere, La Ritirata, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Mariví Blasco & Speculum, Sara Ruiz & La Bellemont, and KamBrass Quintet, winner of the FestClásica Emerging Ensemble Award 2026.
Prestigious British conductor Richard Egarr will debut as musical director of Hippocampus with a program of Concerti Grossi by Corelli and Handel, reinforcing the festival's commitment to international artistic exchange.
Collaboration with FestClásica is highlighted through the programming of KamBrass Quintet and the project by Manuel Ruiz with Íliber Ensemble, winner of the FestClásica Seal Award 2026.
The festival integrates music with heritage, offering concerts in venues such as the Chapel of the Royal Palace, the Royal Theatre Carlos III, and the Royal Winery of Carlos III, alongside guided tours of the Palace of Philip II and the Garden of the Island.
