The Ordinary Plenary Session of the Aranjuez City Council, held this morning, has given the green light to the proposal from the Municipal Heritage Department to cede plot P-507, located in the La Montaña neighborhood, to the Community of Madrid. The objective is the construction of an Institute of Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training.
The plot, with an area of 17,915 square meters and situated at Calle Patrimonio Mundial, number 1, is designated for public facilities. This new educational center aims to expand public offerings in Aranjuez and meet the needs arising from the growth of the school-age population, especially in the expansion area of La Montaña.
This action is part of the regional plan for new educational infrastructures, which includes an investment of 25.5 million euros in the Comarca de Las Vegas. The Aranjuez City Council thus facilitates the necessary land for the realization of this new educational infrastructure.
The plot will remain linked to public use. The conditions approved by the Plenary stipulate that if the land is not ultimately used for this public educational purpose, it will revert to the City Council. The municipal file includes the relevant technical and legal reports that certify municipal ownership and the suitability of the plot.
Following the plenary approval, the agreement will be forwarded to the Community of Madrid to continue with the necessary processing and formalize the land transfer. Today's decision represents a significant step forward in providing Aranjuez with a public institute that will meet the current and future educational needs of the municipality, particularly in an area that has experienced substantial residential growth.
