Alcorcón's Municipal Services Company (ESMASA) launches the second season of its 'ESMASA en tu Zona' program, focusing on neighborhood cleaning and maintenance based on resident feedback.

The ESMASA en tu Zona program returns to Alcorcón with a second edition focused on intensive neighborhood cleaning and maintenance. The initiative aims to listen to residents' needs before carrying out work, incorporating their proposals into comprehensive action plans.
The first edition of this program received a rating of 8.21 out of 10, according to a survey of 1,550 residents. Raquel Rodríguez, president of ESMASA, highlighted that the project allows them to strengthen street work and understand citizens' priorities for their environment, which motivated its renewal.
The second season will kick off in the Las Flores neighborhood, covering avenues such as Las Flores, Los Castillos, and Libertad, as well as streets like Los Lirios, Amapolas, Nardos, Adelfas, Margaritas, and Jacinto. Before work begins, an information tent will be set up at the intersection of Avenida de la Libertad and Calle Los Lirios to collect suggestions and distribute recycling materials, including the brown bin key card and organic waste recycling kits.
The collected proposals will be analyzed by the heads of ESMASA's various services for potential inclusion in the planned actions. This work model, combining the gathering of resident needs with the deployment of cleaning and maintenance teams, will be replicated in other neighborhoods included in the program.
The work, involving the Solid Urban Waste Collection, Street Cleaning, and Interior Cleaning services, will be announced in advance through posters and ESMASA's social media. Company foremen will also visit local businesses to inform them about the work and gather suggestions. Additionally, ESMASA has launched an online form for residents to submit proposals and identify priority areas.
