From now on, the entity's headquarters will be officially known as “Paco Albarrán-APLAA Rehabilitation Center,” in recognition of this citizen's work. The naming ceremony was attended by the mayor of Alcorcón, the councilor for Public Health, Animal Welfare and Consumption, and the former mayor of the city, along with family members of the honoree, APLAA users, and local residents.
“"You are a great public servant, you have given your life and dedicated your time to helping others; with this well-deserved tribute. Alcorcón thanks you for everything you have done and offers you this collective embrace so that it reaches the depths of your heart."
APLAA has played a crucial role in Alcorcón for over four decades, providing support and accompaniment to people with alcoholism problems and their families. According to the association's president, more than 2,600 people have been assisted by the entity over the years, consolidating an important social network in the municipality.
The association highlighted the daily involvement of the honored citizen, considering him a “fundamental pillar” in the rehabilitation process of many users. The event included musical performances and the screening of videos recognizing his career, culminating in the unveiling of the official plaque that now adorns the association's headquarters.
