The first team of CDM Arroyomolinos has sealed a historic season by being promoted to 1ª Autonómica and becoming Preferente champions, capping their success with a 3-3 draw on the final matchday.

CDM Arroyomolinos has put the finishing touch on an outstanding campaign by winning the Preferente championship title, in addition to having secured their promotion to 1ª Autonómica on the penultimate matchday. The point earned in the final game against Nuevo Boadilla (3-3) allowed them to reach 62 points, surpassing their rivals Atlético Valdeiglesias and CD Humanes, both with 61.
The match, held at the La Dehesa facilities before a devoted crowd and with the presence of local authorities such as the mayor, Luis Quiroga, led to a grand celebration. Players, coaches, and fans shared the euphoria of this second consecutive promotion.

"This promotion means moving up to the highest category in the Community. An important leap in Madrid's football and being one step away from Tercera RFEF, which is already a national category. It represents exponential growth for the club, as having the first team in a category like this is very important for the younger players to have someone to look up to in the future."

Gonzalo Sánchez · Head Coach of CDM Arroyomolinos
The coach of the Arroyomolinos team, Gonzalo Sánchez, explained that at the beginning of the season they did not set specific objectives, but after a successful previous year, they decided not to set limits. "When we were ten games from the end and saw ourselves in these high positions, we did set the main objective of getting promoted," he recalled.
Sánchez attributed the success to "daily work, the humility with which these lads have respected every opponent," in addition to a "mentally very strong and very united group."
The club is already working on the configuration of the next project, with a continuity line. "We are working on it. We are a team that draws from players from Arroyomolinos, so we will surely try to renew most of this season's squad, as I am convinced that these players will demonstrate their level in a higher category as well," the coach pointed out.

"The first thing will be to try to adapt as soon as possible to the new category because the leap is very significant. The day-to-day results will determine our objective. If we have to fight for survival after two years where we have been at the top with two consecutive promotions, then we will put all our effort into achieving it."
