The municipality of Arroyomolinos has finalized the comprehensive renovation of lighting at the Las Matillas paddle tennis center, including its 10 indoor courts and the central outdoor court.

The municipal company Emugesa (Empresa Municipal de Gestión de Servicios de Arroyomolinos) has concluded the replacement and upgrade of lighting systems for the courts at the Las Matillas paddle tennis center and its internal corridors. These efforts are part of a progressive modernization plan for municipal sports facilities aimed at enhancing user experience.
The total investment for this upgrade surpasses 30,000 euros. The work involved a complete overhaul of the lighting fixtures across the ten indoor courts and the main outdoor court. This initiative goes beyond simple wear-and-tear replacements, introducing asymmetric projection LED technology designed to reduce glare and improve light distribution.
Consequently, the indoor courts now meet Lighting Class II standards, suitable for regional competitions, while the central court adheres to Class I, meeting requirements for top-tier national and international events. These classifications align with the UNE-EN 12193 standard and the FIP Paddle Game Regulations.
Furthermore, the lighting in the distribution corridors of the complex has also been updated, enhancing comfort for the many athletes who use these facilities daily. The center's pavement had previously undergone modernization works in the summer of 2024.
