The incident occurred around 6:10 AM this Sunday, at kilometer 56 of the aforementioned road. Upon arrival at the scene, services from Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid confirmed that four people were traveling in the van.
One of the occupants, a 21-year-old male, was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the impact. Paramedics at the scene could only confirm his death, as he had sustained injuries incompatible with life.
The other three occupants of the vehicle, two women and one man of similar age to the deceased, suffered minor injuries. They were attended to at the scene by emergency services.
Several units from the Community of Madrid Firefighters also responded to the accident site to carry out prevention tasks. Summa 112 also dispatched a psychologist to provide assistance.
The Civil Guard has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
