This project, which will transform an area of approximately 18,530 m², will address current deficiencies such as deteriorated pavements and narrow sidewalks. The plan includes widening sidewalks, installing new uniform paving, and removing architectural barriers to facilitate pedestrian traffic.
In addition to sidewalk improvements, the complete milling and asphalt paving of roadways will be carried out to optimize circulation and urban aesthetics. Regarding accessibility, adapted pedestrian crossings, lowered intersections, and the elimination of raised curbs will be incorporated.
Modernization will also extend to underground infrastructures, with the implementation of new telecommunications conduits, an improved stormwater drainage system, and the replacement of public lighting affected by the works. Horizontal and vertical signage will be completely renewed using high-durability thermoplastic paint.
The total investment amounts to 1,012,184.33 euros, with 95% funded by the Community of Madrid through the Regional Investment Program (PIR) 2022–2026, and the remaining 5%, approximately 50,609.21 euros, by the Guadalix de la Sierra City Council. The works will be executed in several phases, starting with demolitions and preliminary tasks, followed by underground interventions, sidewalk paving, road asphalting, and finally, signage and finishing touches.
