La Cabrera is gearing up to host the Sierra Norte Fair 2026 this weekend, an event showcasing free workshops, local gastronomy, and family entertainment, transforming the municipality into a regional showcase.

From June 27 to 28, La Cabrera will serve as a meeting point to experience Madrid's rural life and highlight the potential of the region, comprising 42 municipalities. The fair aims to present opportunities, sustainable initiatives, and future projects, blending traditional crafts with modern innovations.
The event will be spread across several areas. Plaza Hermanas Rodríguez Granados will host the main stage, information booths, and practical workshops. The Fonsana/T5 parking lot will feature the market La Despensa de Madrid with local products, alongside water inflatables and a family play area. Luis Fernández Urosa street will be dedicated exclusively to traditional crafts.
Free interactive workshops are a key attraction, including sessions on amphibians, bird nest building, keychain creation, clay modeling, and recycling with gold leaf. Live craft demonstrations will feature pottery wheel sessions with participatory classes, creative watercolor, children's soap making, and solar observation, emphasizing active learning and environmental respect.

On Saturday midday, traditional 'migas serranas' will be served, while Sunday's highlight will be a large paella. Both culinary events will take place at 2:00 PM in Plaza Hermanas Rodríguez Granados, with affordable portions at 3 euros.

Musical entertainment and street performances will liven up the days. The company Humor a la cara will perform, alongside freestyle football demonstrations, live music by Sara Music and Esto no es serio, and DJ sets. The Roblemoreno association will organize a scavenger hunt to discover regional projects.
To facilitate travel, visitors are advised to use the A-1 highway to exits 57 or 60, utilizing the parking area between Jiménez Díaz and San Isidro streets. Public transport is available via bus line 191 from Plaza de Castilla interchange.
The fair will be open on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and on Sunday, June 28, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
