On July 2nd, the Sierra Norte Regional Humanities Center in La Cabrera will host the premiere of the documentary 'La peluquería no se cierra', a work exploring collective strength and personal growth.

The film delves into the story of a group of women, aged between 60 and 97, from Valdemanco, who founded a theater group almost two decades ago. What began as a pastime has transformed into a vital space for learning, personal development, and reflection.
This collective has created a safe environment to share experiences, question the gender roles imposed throughout their lives, and discover new ways of understanding the world and their place in it.

"What began as a game eventually became a place for learning and personal growth, a safe space to share experiences, question the gender mandates that have marked their lives, and explore new ways of being in the world."
