The Cabanillas de la Sierra City Council has launched the 2026 edition of its Participatory Budgets, allocating €10,000 to citizen proposals aimed at improving the municipality.

The initiative, under the slogan 'You decide how to improve our town!', offers residents the opportunity to submit ideas in areas such as culture, sports, education, environment, or social issues. The deadline for submitting proposals is November 10th to November 20th.
Proposals can be submitted in person at the City Council, by presenting identification (DNI), or through the municipal Electronic Office. A form available in the program's regulatory bases must be used.
Participation is open to individuals registered in Cabanillas de la Sierra aged 16 and over, as well as local associations and collectives. Initiatives that meet the requirements will subsequently be put to a citizen vote.
