Night Rescues in Sierra de Madrid: GERA Locates Disoriented Family and Youth

The Special Mountain Rescue Group of the Community of Madrid Firefighters conducted two successful interventions in Senda Herreros and Cresta de los Claveles.

The Special Mountain Rescue Group (GERA) of the Community of Madrid Firefighters successfully carried out two rescue operations in the Sierra de Madrid, locating a family with two minors and a young person who had become disoriented during their excursions.

The interventions took place yesterday evening, as reported by the 112 emergency service. The first operation focused on Senda Herreros, where a family consisting of five adults and two minors had lost their way while hiking.
Subsequently, GERA personnel moved to Cresta de los Claveles to assist a 17-year-old who was also disoriented in the mountainous area.
Both rescues concluded without incident, and fortunately, none of those affected required medical attention, according to the same sources.
