The contract, which will have an initial duration of two years with the possibility of extending for another two, seeks to guarantee the provision of essential services such as the collection, housing, feeding, and veterinary care for companion animals in the municipality. The estimated value of this tender amounts to 196,122.03 euros for each fiscal year.
The Guadarrama Animal Protection Center is located on Camino de Pradovera, although the activities covered by the contract may be carried out in other locations within the town if service needs require it. Interested parties have until April 29 at 11:59 PM to submit their proposals, exclusively through electronic administration.
Among the services to be covered is the collection of lost or abandoned companion animals in public areas, those not retrieved from shelters by their owners, and those resulting from actions by the Local Police or other State Security Forces and Corps, as well as from criminal, civil, or contentious judicial resolutions. Exceptionally, and with municipal authorization, animals from private individuals who can no longer care for them may be collected, provided the situation is justified and the center has capacity.
Bidders must have qualified personnel, such as veterinary clinical assistants or canine trainers, to ensure animal welfare during collection and transport, preventing any suffering. Strict hygiene and sanitary measures are also required to prevent the spread of diseases. All conditions and requirements are detailed in the technical specifications published on the State contracting platform.
