The Soto del Real City Council has completed renovation and conditioning works on the Green Ring, a natural and sports area combining facilities for all ages with views of the Sierra de Guadarrama.

The works included pavement improvements, creation of a new pedestrian path, updated signage and maps, and the installation of new amenities such as benches, fountains, and bike racks.
Improvements have also been made to La Cabezuela, an enclave offering views of the Sierra de Guadarrama and La Pedriza, suitable for outdoor activities like the solar eclipse viewing on August 12.
“

"The Green Ring allows us to bring sports into daily life, with a route for walking, running, or cycling, and facilities offering options for all ages. With these improvements, we want residents to continue enjoying this space and for more people to discover and utilize all its possibilities."

The sports area of the Green Ring features two multi-sport courts, a climbing wall, calisthenics bars, a beach volleyball court, a pétanque court, a bike park, a slackline area, a skate park, and fitness equipment.
