San Lorenzo de El Escorial held the Demo Day of the third edition of Monasterio de Ideas yesterday, the mentorship program promoted by the City Council to transform business ideas into viable and sustainable projects.

The event, held at the municipal coworking space on Infantes street, showcased the proposals of the six participating entrepreneurs after months of training and personalized advice. Since its launch in 2024, Monasterio de Ideas has supported 35 entrepreneurial projects, providing them with the necessary tools, knowledge, and support to develop their business initiatives, with a special focus on individualized guidance to combat the «entrepreneur's loneliness».
The presented projects cover diverse fields: Recocicla focuses on the circular economy; AccesSight offers solutions to improve digital visual accessibility; Tomás Smart Community facilitates rapid digital content creation; Visual Cube uses visual thinking as a work tool; Goblin develops a proposal for learning chess; and Recuerdos de Papel revives the value of traditional photo albums for preserving memories.
The mayor of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Carlota López Esteban, congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of programs like Monasterio de Ideas, reaffirming the municipal commitment to self-employment. The Councilor for Employment and Entrepreneurship, Eduardo Moreira, highlighted the goal of offering «productive and real support».
The event was also attended by the Director General of Self-Employed and Entrepreneurship of the Community of Madrid, Nikolay Yordanov, who stressed the economic potential of the municipality, calling it «an economic lung for the Community of Madrid».
The day concluded with a presentation by Luis Miguel Chapinal, dean of the College of Technical Telecommunications Engineers, on access to private financing for startups. With this third edition, Monasterio de Ideas continues to consolidate itself as a municipal tool for supporting entrepreneurial talent.
